SYFY has released a trailer for the Stan Lee executive produced original film – The Sandman.

It should be noted that the film has nothing to do with the Marvel property or the character by Neil Gaiman. So don’t get any hopes up. Regardless, the film looks like it may be fun. Check out the trailer below.

Synopsis: With a clandestine government agency closing in on the young girl, Claire and Madison will have to work together to find a way to stop the Sandman before he claims his next victim. Factor in the sinister ‘Valentine’ (Tobin Bell) who leads a cadre of bureaucrats who do not mean well and soon, strange things start happening whenever Madison is around. Things move around by themselves. Cabinet doors open and close. Almost as if there’s some kind of supernatural entity in the house. It’s a journey you’ll have to fully experience to understand.

The Sandman was written and directed by Peter Sullivan. It’s being produced by Hybrid and distributed by SYFY and Lionsgate.

The movie stars Tobin Bell (the Saw films, The Flash), Haylie Duff (Napoleon Dynamite), Shaun Sipos (The Vampire Diaries), Amanda Wyss (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Ricco Ross (Aliens), and Shae Smolik (The Hatred).

The Sandman is set to air on SYFY October 14th, 2017
