Marvel’s WandaVision has substantially changed the history of how we saw Wanda Maximoff. The origin of Avenger’s powerful members has centuries-old ties. With her extremely powerful Chaos Magic invocation, the only way forward is “Scarlet Witch” becoming more powerful.
Since the beginning, reality remains the mainstay of the series. While Agatha has discovered how powerful Wanda is, she’s intended to manipulate Wanda to know the source of Chaos Magic”. The arcane and dark magic has a long history in MCU, and WandaVision is just another thread in the multiverse fabric.
What’s the Origin of Chaos Magic?
Chaos Magic is capable of destroying the Cosmos. The magic is harnessed by Chthon, an elderly god who’s an archdemon to rule the earth. Chthon used Chaos Magic and ruled Earth as “God of Chaos.” The existence of reality and mystical power in WandaVision goes back to the existence of Earth.
The Demiurge is the sentient life force of Earth’s biosphere formed Earth with its essence and the Elder Gods. Among other Elder Gods, Chthon spent his time learning about the mythical forces, which led to the first source to know necromancy. Moreover, the glowing supposed “Darkhold” book that we saw in Agatha’s basement is written by Chthon in the caverns of Mount Wundagore. However, we’re unclear whether the book is “Darkhold” or some other book.
Since all the multiverse is created by meddling with reality, this brings us to one possible inclusion of how Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness will be linked. Wanda’s power sources come from Chthon’s touch (Chthon takes refuge into another dimension from Demogorge, the god eater) that gives a fraction of his power to Wanda, who’s born in mount Wundagore to transform the reality at her own will.
Agatha’s interest in Wanda’s Chaos Magic might be another manipulation to lay the path for Mephisto in the MCU. The comics have mixed realities to what we saw in the series, probably due to Fox’s acquisition.
