Coming out of the May solicitations from Dark Horse is a limited series that might make The Orville fans happy.
The Orville: Digressions is a two-part mini-series that takes place just before the season two finale. Chronologically, Digressions occurs between the episodes Tomorrow, Tomorrow, and Tomorrow and The Road Not Taken, which take place at the close of Season 2.
The Orville: Digressions is based on the FOX TV series of the same name created by and starring Seth MacFarlane. The series is set on the titular spacecraft: USS Orville (ECV-197), a mid-level exploratory vessel in the Planetary Union, a 25th-century interstellar alliance of Earth and many other planets.
The comic series was written by the show’s executive producer David A. Goodman, with art by David Cabeza and colored by Michael Atiyeh. The lettering was done by Richard Starkings and Comicraft’s Jimmy Betancourt.
The show’s second season ended in April of 2019 and was one of FOX’s highest-rated shows. A third season of The Orville is expected to hit Hulu in late 2021.
The Orville: Digressions Part 1 goes on sale on May 5, 2021. Will you be adding it to your library?
