The console gaming experience has been more elevated than ever with Microsoft’s latest announcement, which enhances backward compatibility and FPS boost for Xbox Series X and S. The brand new feature announced as Xbox “FPS BOOST” for the backward-compatible game.

The FPS Boost feature with backward compatibility isn’t something new but different than before. Aiming to make the gaming experience more joyful and real for the games used to run on 30fps earlier. The backward-compatible games will be getting an FPS boost with the first batch of games. Games such as Far Cry 4, UFC 4, Watch Dog 2, Sniper Elite 4 are getting this FPS boost feature. For New Super Lucky Tales, the FPS hits 120, given the compatible TV with the console.

Xbox Series X and S Backward Compatible Games with FPS Boost

The idea of an FPS boost is meant for game preservation. According to Paul eng, Senior Program Manager at Xbox. Also, any new game with an FPS boost will be indicated when users press the Xbox button on the controller.
