Looks like it will be just as bloody as the comic too!

Via Skybound, we have the first ‘official’ trailer for the Amazon Original series Invincible. Check it out below. What is an Official trailer anyway? It seems like a waste of word to put that in there.

Invincible is an adult animated superhero drama based on the Image comic book character of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Ryan Ottley, and Cory Walker. Invincible first appeared in a preview as part of Tech Jacket #1 in November 2002, illustrated by artist Ottley, before graduating to his own self-titled regular series in 2003, as the premier title in Image’s then-new superhero line. The Invincible comic came to an end in February 2018 after a 15-year run, making it Kirkman’s second-longest comic after The Walking Dead.

Mark Grayson is a normal teenager, except for the fact that his father Nolan, is the most powerful superhero on the planet. Shortly after his seventeenth birthday, Mark begins to develop powers of his own and enters into his father’s tutelage.

In celebration of the premiere, Skybound is re-releasing Invincible‘s first issue with an updated cover by Ryan Ottley. The cover features Invincible, Atom Eve, Robot, Dupli-Kate, and Rex-Splode. It will go on sale on March 17th, a week before the animated series debut.

The trailer shows us what should be a very faithful adaptation of the comic series…at least in terms of the bloody violence. The series stars Steven Yuen as the title character of Mark Grayson, aka Invincible, and J.K. Simmons as Nolan Grayson/Omni-Man.

Other voices starring in the series include Zachary Quinto as Robot, Khary Payton as Black Samson, Seth Rogen as Allen the Alien, Gillian Jacobs as Atom Eve, Andrew Rannells as William Clockwell, Zazie Beetz as Amber Bennett, Mark Hamill as Art, Walton Goggins as Cecil Stedman, Jason Mantzoukas as Rex Sloan/Rex Splode, Chris Diamantopoulos as Doc Seismic, Malese Jow as Kate Cha/Dupli-Kate, Kevin Michael Richardson as Monster Girl’s monster form and the Mauler Twins, Grey Griffin as Shrinking Ray and Monster Girl, Clancy Brown as Damien Darkblood, Djimon Hounsou as the Martian Emperor, Ezra Miller as D.A. Sinclair, Jeffrey Donovan as Machine Head, Nicole Byer as new characters Fiona and Vanessa, Jon Hamm as new character Steve, Jonathan Groff as Rick Sheridan, and Mahershala Ali as Titan.

Invincible is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on March 26th, 2021. Will you be watching?
