With the release of WandaVision, we saw some intuitive, funny, and scenes full of comedy and little actions. The entry of some suspicious neighbors and strange happenings in the Westview. We saw episode 3 where Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) had twins together and Westview surrounded by military helicopters and vehicles. This brings us to Episode 4 where we have answers to some of the questions from Episode-3. This delicate series of sitcom and dark reality is making the actions of heroes hard to condone. But, before you read any more, there are going to be major spoilers. So, if you haven’t watched WandaVision Episode-4, just stop right here or read at your own risk.
Who Have We got Back?
Episode 4 has transitioned from classic sitcom to dark reality that reveals the dark side of Wanda. Geraldine, AKA Monica Rambeau, the daughter of Maria Rambeau from Captain Marvel is on the screen as a Captain at the agency. The sitcom is closely monitored by an observatory in the outskirts of Westview. We now know that SWORD (Sentient Weapons Observation and Response Division) is a secret government agency. Monica Rambeau isn’t the only MCU thread connected to the series. We have Darcy from “Thor” and Jimmy Woo, last seen from “Ant-Man and the Wasp” are working together with Monica Rambeau to solve the anomaly of Westview.
Who Was Maria Rambeau?
We saw Monica Rambeau waking up in the Hospital and troubled to find her mother. Maria, who had her cancer removed successfully, but builds up the disease again and dies. Moving ahead, we see the name Maria “Photon” Rambeau where Monica passes from the alley. This clearly suggests that Maria was a former agent in the agency. We see episode 3 is almost recapped outside the Westview where Agent Woo and Darcy seem to understand the reality through the eye of the camera.
From prevailing comic theory and episode, it suggests that Wanda has created the alternated reality to deal with her grief. The neighborhood of Westview is discovered to be populated with missing persons. SWORD discovers that the people living are manipulated into living rather than a manifestation. While we may feel a little sympathetic to Wanda, this raises the question of whether it is Wanda who’s the enemy?
While episode 4 completely changes the dynamics of the show. We see WandaVision as a more potentially dark and complex mystery. This episode will leave mixed views and might be seen as a strong or maybe a weak episode for upcoming sequences. Given the detail, execution, and script the series seems to take a break from the sitcom drama and taking the leap to new heights.
