The Wrong Turn (also known as Wrong Turn: The Foundation internationally) trailer is out and there is some serious differences compared to the last installments. For those who didn’t come across WT, the movie has six sequels already out. Originally written by Alan McElroy and directed by Mike P. Nelson, the 2021 reboot film of the franchise will be premiering on the 26th of February.

The reboot doesn’t have the original character from the original series neither the plot. However, we saw some friends who are out in the woods and an antagonist in the story. Some excruciating gruesome blood splattering events take place when a group of friends hikes for the Appalachian Trail. Despite being warned, the group confronts strange events and traps that lead to eventually deadly consequences.

In the middle of the plot, we saw Scott wandering out in search of her daughter (Jen, Played by Charlotte Vega) who went missing a couple of weeks ago. Meanwhile, we see an elderly lady sharing something about The Foundation.

The ancient tribe lives in the woods and hides to ensure their survival. SO far, the trailer seems to be never-ending suspense that captures the horror landscape. The theme is about a strikingly terrific yet mysterious family from the 19th century who rejects modern life.

As to something new, the cannibals aren’t much into talking in earlier series. The story involves more brains than just silently taking out their target. This reboot has moved from the conventional plot and builds more of cult horror than slaughter.

Rather than a capture to kill plot, we saw Jen and some of her friends are captured by the tribe. There are more events, that might be exciting, but that might ruin the suspense and fun. However, this remake has completely moved from the earlier six installments of the Wrong Turn.
