We are about a month away from the premiere of The CW‘s newest Arrowverse series, Superman & Lois. I hope you are as excited as we are. To tease the forthcoming show, we have been treated to a stunning new trailer. Check it out below.
I want to take a moment to mention just how much the trailer appears to look very different from any other DC series on the CW. Not to mention the amazing cinematic quality of the scenes we see throughout. I mean it truly feels like a trailer for a big-budget film. It is quite a far cry compared to the first trailer we got back in December. Let’s hope the series lives up to what we are seeing.
Superman & Lois was developed by Todd Helbing and Greg Berlanti and is of course based on the DC Comics characters Superman and Lois Lane, created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. And…you guessed it, the series will be set in the Arrowverse, sharing continuity with all the other television series of the franchise. You know, like 90% of The CW now. Not that that is a bad thing.
Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch are reprising their roles as the titular characters Clark Kent / Superman, a costumed superhero, and Lois Lane, a journalist for the Daily Planet. The series also stars Jordan Elsass, Alexander Garfin, Dylan Walsh, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Adam Rayner, and Wolé Parks as The Stranger. So very interested to see what is up with “The Stranger”. A Phantom, perhaps?
David Ramsey will also be appearing on the show reprising his role as John Diggle. He will be directing an episode in the series.
Superman & Lois will have its 2-Hour premiere on February 23rd, 2021 on The CW. Will you be tuning in?
