The BBC has released its first teaser for the upcoming 11th season of Doctor Who, which will feature actress Jodie Whittaker as the Thirteenth Doctor. Check out the trailer below then come back and tell us what you thought.
The 51 second teaser aired during the halftime break of the World Cup Final between France and Croatia on BBC One.
The teaser gives us a look at the Doctor’s new companions. We see Whittaker’s Time Lord steal a sausage from Ryan’s (Tosin Cole) breakfast, swapped Graham’s (Bradley Walsh) newspaper for The Beano and replace Yasmin’s (Mandip Gill) pizza. The teaser then ends with a smiling Whittaker and a tagline “The Universe Awaits”. It almost feels like there are some obvious hints in this teaser to the upcoming season. Maybe I am wrong. What do you think?
Unfortunately, we didn’t get a look at the TARDIS yet. Sorry, my fellow Whovians. It too is expected to undergo a regeneration. Perhaps we shall get to finally see it when the show’s cast and crew visit San Diego Comic-Con.
Doctor Who: Series 11 is set to air on BBC One sometime during the Fall of 2018. Once we get the official premiere date we will let you know.
