While attendees of San Diego Comic-Con will have a chance to see the new documentary From the Bridge, the rest of us still have to wait. Until then, you can check out a new trailer Gravitas Ventures has released.
They also released clips featuring interviews with Star Trek‘s Nichelle Nichols and legendary comic book artist Neal Adams. Check them all out below.
“From The Bridge” chronicles the journey of sci-fi, horror, and comic book fans from their humble start as an underground community into the multi-billion dollar explosion of fandom now ruling the universe. The film delves into how fanzines, magazines, and genre films inspired a new generation of storytellers to make the films and video games that now dominate modern culture.
From the Bridge is hosted and narrated by George Takei. The documentary features interviews with such names as Stan Lee, Nichelle Nichols, Gene Simmons, Joe Dante, Tom DeSanto, Adam Nimoy, Bryan Fuller, Neal Adams, Doug Jones, Rod Roddenberry, and Howard Roffman. It will also have never-before-aired interviews with Gene Roddenberry and Leonard Nimoy. The film was made by Spencer F. Lee.
From the Bridge is set for a limited theatrical run later this summer and will be released on VOD, DVD, and Blu-ray in November.
