The project was first announced at NYCC, and now we have a new trailer for Batman Ninja. Let me tell you, it is quite something. Check it out below.
The film is definitely something we haven’t seen before. And is definitely a unique twist on the Joker, or in this case – Devil King of the 6th Heaven, Lord Joker. There was also a poster release. You can find that below too.
Batman, along with a number of his allies and adversaries, finds himself transplanted from modern Gotham City to feudal Japan.
Takashi Okazaki, the creator of Afro Samurai, is the character designer for the film. The screenplay was written by Kazuki Nakashima along with Leo Chu and Eric Garcia. It was directed by Junpei Mizusaki. The Japanese versions voice cast includes Kôichi Yamadera, Wataru Takagi, and Rie Kugimiya.
Villains confirmed to appear include the Joker, Harley Quinn, Penguin, Poison Ivy, Two-Face, Deathstroke, and Gorilla Grodd.
Batman Ninja hit DVD, Blu-ray Disc and Digital HD sometime in 2018.
