The CW Seed, during SDCC, released a clip for its upcoming animated series for Freedom Fighters: The Ray. They are calling it a trailer, but you can clearly see it’s a clip. Check it out below.

The clip centers on The Ray, which is based on the version from Grant Morrison’s Multiversity. The series is set in The CW‘s Arrowverse on Earth X. Nazis have won World War II and Ray with help from the Freedom Fighters fight to take back America from the New Reichsmen – The Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl. It looks pretty violent too.

Synopsis: Centered on the character Raymond “Ray” Terrill who is a reporter who gains light-based powers after being exposed to a genetic light bomb. Ray discovers the bomb in his investigation of a secret government project attempting to harness the power of light and weaponize it.

The CW hasn’t listed the voice cast yet for the series. You may be able to guess a few.

Freedom Fighters: The Ray is set to debut on The CW Seed this fall. Will you be watching?
