Zack Snyder shares how the timeline of Batman is characterized over the versions. Previously released Batman movies have briefed much about the character and how Ben Affleck’s take effect the Batman how we saw in BvS.
While sharing his view on Batman’s timeline, the director revealed the deeper role of Ben Affleck as Batman in BvS and how the character evolved into Snyder’s cut. The older versions of Batman have reflected strong morals and fearless character. However, Batman has been through a lot of rough years while fighting crimes in Gotham City. This does reflect a character’s appearance as a little Jaded.
How Superman’s Death Pulls Back Batman
While sharing his stance on Batman, Zack told the about the backstory of Batman in BvS, giving a glimpse at Robin’s death at the hands of the Joker. The death of Robbin and others has left Bruce despair and dark. However, the story takes a turn in Snyder’s Justice League related to the death of Superman and Bruce’s decision to bring heroes’ alliance.
Here, the death of Superman becomes a cathartic element that pulls Batman out of despair and brings the age of heroes together. Although Batman’s role is not matched with metahuman abilities or gods, Batman is the necessary force without which Justice League doesn’t exist. Bruce’s element being a mortal among gods will be present in Snyder’s Cut of Justice League. However, the movie can take a different direction given that Jared Leto is in the movie.
