Just like weapons, your survival in Valheim is intertwined with Armors that protect you from damage. Armors are protective used to protect against creatures and extreme weather effects like freezing. Valheim has 4 types of armor that include coverage for Head Gear, Legging, Cape, and Tunic.
All the armor stats assume quality level one armor, and you can upgrade the armor up to 3 times. The armor upgrade can only be made to 4 quality levels, and each quality level beyond the first gives additional 2 points. This guide contains armor names, crafting recipes, and descriptions.
Rags
Rags are the simplest piece of armor. They fulfill your clothing need and provide warmth to the body. The material required to craft Rags is 5 leather scraps. There are 2 types of rags, Tunic and Pants, with spawn code Armorragschest and Armorragsleg.

Leather Armor
Leather armor is second-tier armor replace by Troll Armor. Crafting Leather Armor needs 6 deer hides, and the armor can also be upgraded using a workbench. You get the deer hider from the Meadows or the Black Forest, or Deer hides are also dropped from deer. Deer hide is also used to make leather pants and leather helmets, and both can be upgraded using the workbench.
Leather Helmet
Troll skin makes the best leather helmet. Besides having the quality of exceptional armor, troll skins also make you stealthy. To craft a troll leather helmet, you will need 5 Troll hide and 3 Bone Fragments. Wearing all 4 pieces makes you perfectly sneaky. Making Leather Tunic and Pants only require 5 troll hides, while Tunic Cape needs 10 Troll hides and 10 Bone Fragments.
Bronze Helmet
The bronze helmet is an effective headgear in Valheim. However, to craft and repair the Bronze helmet, it needs a level 1 forge. Making the Bronze helmet needs you to collect 5 bronze and 3 deer hide. The Bronze helmet is light in weight and doesn’t affect movement.
