Following a disheartening battle with Warner Bros. and getting stuck with the tragedy left Zack Snyder devastated. Although Justice League’s credits had Zack Snyder’s name in the movie, Zack Snyder never watched the worldwide released version of JL. “I don’t whether people experience it or not, but it feels truly devastating when you have worked on something for so long, and it doesn’t go along the way,” said the producer, Deborah Snyder.
Justice League had Major Rewrites & Reshoots under Joss Whedon
So, what happened to the Justice League exactly? It has been hard to contemplate what Zack and Deborah Snyder had been through. The couple cut ties with Warner Bros. after a long battle forged by a complex comic architecture and lost faith. In the midst of the crisis, Joss Whedon, previously known for his works for Marvel’s Avengers, assumed the directorial authority. The Justice League, released in 2017, took major rewritings and reshoots. However, that didn’t bring down Zack Snyder’s belief in his creative side on the project.

Zack Snyder isn’t being paid by Warner Bros. According to Zack Snyder, he didn’t want to be beholden by anyone, which lets him have his creative control over the project. Reportedly, the project cost Warner Bros. a whopping sum of $70 Million, but Zack Snyder gets 0 return for his work.
