WandaVision episode 5 is streaming on Disney Plus. Where the homage sitcom had a break in episode 4, we expected the resumption of the comedy sequence. While we concluded episode 4 of WandaVision from the bizarre situation around SWORD. The trail of questions seems to reoccur with the more perplexing plot. The Westview anomaly is spreading beyond Westview, and we had a mysterious introduction in the recent episode. Disney Plus’s WandaVision episode 5 shows a mixed sense of urgency and a satisfying plot. What happened in episode 5 contains many spoilers, so, before you read, here is a BIG SPOILER ALERT WARNING!
What’s Happening in Westview?
Pretty much of the rules have been ruled out in the recent WandaVision episode. The show has completely been redefined by the writers (Peter Cameron and Mackenzie Dohr). However, the show has the hold of the perfect balance between MCU drama legacy and Sitcom. The storyline coexists with Wanda’s self-made 1908’s reality and SWORD’s perspective. Meanwhile, we see Tommy and Billy growing faster and learning the hacks of life and Wanda and Vision’s Standoff. Till now, we can say that episode 5 maintains the balance between MCU elements and why SWORD is after Wanda.
How is Vision Back?
Following the episode where the acting director Tyler Hayward is determined to brand Wanda as a terrorist. We see Darcy, Agent Jimmy Woo, and Monica Rambeau trying to crash against Tyler Hayward. Historically, MCU mistrust of government and agencies remained persistent against the heroes whether in Captain America or Agent of Shield. As to why SWORD is aggressively after Wanda is due to the fact that Wanda stole the corpse of Vision from the lab. Vision (Paul Bettany) was dead in the Avenger infinity war when Thanos pulled out the life source (Mind Stone) of vision.
Evan Peters Appearance a Quicksilver
As we see Vision being concerned about what’s happening around. We watch a levitating standoff between Wanda and Vision as Vision starts noticing strange events. At this point, Vision is aware of Wanda’s norm and her control and unsympathetic outlook. As the series keep going, we see the entry of Quicksilver, but not who we thought. Although, the scenario was pre-built for Quicksilver’s return but not how we expected it. We see X-Men’s Evan Peters knocking off the door instead of Aaron Taylor Johnson.
WandaVision and MCU Franchise Future
As episode 5 folds, the audience is left with more uncertainty as to what’s going to happen next? Whether Evan Peter’s appearance is going to exist for a long time? Or was it just a cameo? Is the event connected to Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness? Rumors also had it about Spider-Man. However, the plotline leaves more mysteries to unravel in the upcoming episodes.
