During the Star Trek Universe panel at SDCC, the first full trailer for the CBS All Access series Star Trek: Picard was released. It gives us our first real look at the series and you can check it out below.
The trailer does give us much as to what the story is about except for certain hints that Picard must protect a young girl (who seems perfectly capable of taking care of herself) who will apparently save the world…I am guessing.
What the trailer for Star Trek: Picard does reveal is the return of Brent Spiner as Data and Star Trek: Voyager‘s Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine. As well as the Borg. We also get a look at Picard’s new crew.
Also during the panel at SDCC Jonathan Frakes confirmed that he would return as Commander Riker, alongside Marina Sirtis’ Counselor Troi and (which makes one ask so many questions) Jonathan Del Arco as the reformed Borg Hugh.
The series stars Patrick Stewart, Alison Pill, Michelle Hurd, Evan Evagora, Isa Briones, Santiago Cabrera, and Harry Treadaway.
Star Trek: Picard is now set for release in 2020. The exact date it will hit CBS All Access is still unknown.
