Disney Channel has released the first trailer for Star Wars: Resistance. Check it out below and let us know what you think of the new “anime style”.
The series takes place a few years before the events of The Force Awakens and follows Kazuda “Kaz” Xiono, a pilot who is recruited into the Resistance to spy on the growing threat of the First Order.
Star Wars: Resistance follows the fan-favorite series Star Wars: Rebels which aired for four seasons and spawned all kinds of new characters and legends. The series took place Fourteen years after the fall of the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order.
Oscar Isaac and Gwendoline Christie will reprise their roles as Poe Dameron and Captain Phasma, respectively. I am curious how much of them we will actually see in the show. The series also stars Bobby Moynihan, Christopher Sean, Suzie McGrath, Scott Lawrence, Myrna Velasco, Josh Brener, Donald Faison, Jim Rash, and Rachel Butera who will voice of General Leia Organa.
Star Wars: Resistance will debut with an hour-long premiere on Disney Channel on October 7, 2018, Disney XD will begin airing the series and it will also be available on DisneyNOW.
