Dark Horse Comics is expanding on it’s publishing partnership with Nintendo with a new release – Super Mario Bros. Encyclopedia! The comic publisher has had some great success with its previous bestsellers The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia, The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts, The Art of Splatoon, and The Art of Fire Emblem Awakening.
The Super Mario Bros. Encyclopedia will be jam-packed with content from all seventeen of the Super Mario games and spans more than 30 years of the franchise’s history —from the original Super Mario Bros. to Super Mario 3D World. For any true Mario fan, this will definitely be a must-have. Personally, it will be a coffee table piece for me.
Track the evolution of the Goomba, witness the introduction of Yoshi, and relive your favorite levels. This tome also contains an interview with producer Takashi Tezuka, tips to help you find every coin, star, sun, and mushroom—even explanations of glitches! With information on enemies, items, obstacles, and worlds from over thirty years of Mario, Super Mario Bros. Encyclopedia is the definitive resource for everything Super Mario!
“Dark Horse is incredibly proud to continue our partnership with Nintendo,” said Dark Horse President and Founder Mike Richardson. “Together, we’ve produced beautiful art books to honor the ground-breaking games Nintendo’s created. We’re proud to give fans another way to appreciate the material.”
Super Mario Bros. Encyclopedia is slated to become available October 23, 2018, and is up for preorder on Amazon, TFAW, and at your local comic shop. This 256-page SRP of $39.99.
