XYZ Films has released the first trailer for the sequel film – Beyond Skyline. You can find all the scifi action below.
The film isn’t exactly a sequel as it technically happens at the same time as the first film. Basically giving a different vantage point of how things went down. The film also has an ‘R’ rating unlike the first which was ‘PG-13’.
Beyond Skyline is a sequel to the 2010 film Skyline that starred Eric Balfour and Donald Faison. Skyline was considered a box office success, grossing almost $79 million against its $10–20 million budget.
Synopsis: Set concurrently with the previous Skyline film but in a different undisclosed location during the worldwide alien invasion, Mark, a tough-as-nails detective, embarks on a relentless pursuit to free his son, Trent, from a nightmarish alien warship.
The film stars Frank Grillo, Bojana Novakovic, Iko Uwais, Callan Mulvey, Yayan Ruhian, Betty Gabriel and Antonio Fargas. It was written and directed by Liam O’Donnell.
No release date has been set for Beyond Skyline yet. It is expected to launch internationally in November with a limited U.S. release which at that time it is also to become available digitally.
