SYFY has released the first trailer for the second season of the post-apocalyptic vampire series – Van Helsing. Check out the blood-drenched action below.
The last remaining member of the Van Helsing family, Vanessa will have some much stronger vampires to contend with it seems in the sophomore season of the series. There also seems to be a few new faces also.
Synopsis: Van Helsing is set in a world that has been taken over by vampires following a volcanic explosion that blocked out the sun. Vanessa Van Helsing is the last hope for survival, as she unknowingly awakens to discover she has a unique blood composition that makes her not only immune to vampires, but with the ability to turn a vampire human. With this secret weapon, Vanessa becomes a prime target for the vampires. Her objective: Save humanity – and find her daughter.
The series is produced by Echo Lake Entertainment, Dynamic Television, and Nomadic Pictures. The show was created by Neil LaBute. It was inspired by Zenescope Entertainment’s graphic novel series Helsing.
Kelly Overton stars as Vanessa Van Helsing. The series also stars Jonathan Scarfe, Christopher Heyerdahl, David Cubitt, Vincent Gale, Rukiya Bernard, Trezzo Mahoro, and Tim Guinee.
No release date has been set yet for Van Helsing, however, SYFY has it slated for this fall.
