Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for the animated sequel film – Batman vs. Two-Face. Check out the video that gives us Adam West portraying the role of the Caped Crusader one last time.
The film is, of course, a sequel to Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders. The films are both based on the 1960’s Batman TV series which ran from 1966 to 1968.
Synopsis: Former Gotham City District Attorney Harvey Dent, one side of his face scarred by acid, goes on a crime spree based on the number ‘2’. All of his actions are decided by the flip of a defaced, two-headed silver dollar.
Rumor has it the film’s story is be based on an unproduced two-part episode script titled ‘The Two-Way Crimes of Two-Face‘ which was written by Harlan Ellison for the original series. Apparently, it was scrapped due to the dark nature of the story. We have nothing concrete on that, but we will be looking into it. Incidentally, the character of Two-Fave never appeared in the TV series.
The film stars Adam West, Burt Ward and Julie Newmar reprising their roles as Batman, Robin, and Catwoman from the series. William Shatner is voicing Two-Face, how fun is that. Also in the cast Jim Ward as Commissioner James Gordon, Steven Weber as Alfred Pennyworth, Thomas Lennon as Chief Miles O’Hara, and Lynne Marie Stewart as Aunt Harriet Cooper.
Batman vs. Two-Face is expected to be released on October 17th, 2017. Are you ready for one last ride in the Batmobile with Adam West?
