A teaser and release date for Netflix’s Castlevania adaptation.

Netflix has given the world the first teaser for Castlevania. Check out the trailer for the animated adaptation and the release date below.

The series is of course based on the Konami video game of the same name. The original game game was released in 1986 for the Nintendo Entertainment System.

Synopsis: Inspired by the classic video game series, Castlevania is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepe himself.

The series is being produced by Adi Shankar who promises a ‘super violent’ take on the series. Legendary comic book author Warren Ellis is writing the script.

Netflix has scheduled Castlevania to be released July 7th, 2017. Are you ready for this long overdue adaptation?
