In the first official trailer of the manga-turned-live-action-film Ghost in the Shell, Scarlet Johansson takes on the role of Major Motoko Kusanagi in a highly technologically advanced world where people are completely nonchalant about the molecular marriage of body and machine. Ghost in the Shell was directed by Rupert Sanders, with script by Jamie Moss and Ehren Kruger. The film is being produced by Avi Arad, Ari Arad, and Steven Paul.
Starring in Ghost in the Shell will be Scarlett Johansson, Michael Pitt, Pilou Asbæk, Chin Han and Juliette Binoche.
Ghost in the Shell is scheduled to premiere on March 31, 2017.
