Excalibur Games is coming out with a unique wooden train track builder called Tracks – The Train Set Game. Check out a couple videos for it below.

I know this particular game doesn’t fall into place here at SFM. Regardless, it looks fun and we thought we should give it a mention. The game can definitely make one nostalgic about their toys as a child. Sim game lovers I feel would definitely enjoy this also. It will be interesting to see how Excalibur Games expands on it in future updates.

Jump aboard the nostalgia-train! Tracks is the ultimate wooden train game. Construct train sets without rules, deliver cargo, and transport commuting passengers. Build an elaborate railway system and then ride it in first person, from the train cab.

Tracks will feature a free play mode where players have all the time in the world to experiment and perfect their wooden train set creations. The game-play video below focuses on one of the objective-based modes, something with a little more direction and a goal.

From picking up passengers to dropping them off, players can create their own elaborate sets in free-play mode, or they can take on objectives, such as efficiently but safely delivering heavy cargo. The train’s weight is simulated, meaning that the game-play dynamic is altered for different objectives. The domestic environment also includes some items which players can place down when creating their train tracks, such as the Grand Clocktower.

Tracks – The Train Set Game is set for Early Access on Steam September 28th, 2017. Are you ready to build?
