Ivy meets the Ripper in this Batman: Gotham By Gaslight clip.

Warner Bros. released a new clip from their forthcoming R-rated DC Comics animated film – Batman: Gotham By Gaslight. Check it out below.

In the clip, Ivy meets the Ripper and tries to seduce him with her feminine wiles. It doesn’t look like it is going to turn out very well.

Synopsis: In an age of mystery and superstition, how would the people of Gotham react to a weird creature of the night, a bat-garbed vigilante feared by the guilty and the innocent alike? The very first Elseworlds tale reimagines the Dark Knight detective in Victorian times and pits him against the infamous murderer Jack the Ripper.

Gotham by Gaslight was a DC Comics one-shot by Brian Augustyn and Mike Mignola. A sequel was made in 1991 titled Master of the Future which was also written by Augustyn, with art by Eduardo Barreto. Gotham by Gaslight is considered to be the first Elseworlds story, where DC Comics heroes get taken from their usual setting and put into alternate timelines or realities.

The film has a stellar voice cast that includes Jennifer Carpenter as Selina Kyle aka Catwoman, Bruce Greenwood as Batman aka Bruce Wayne, Grey DeLisle as Jason Todd, John DiMaggio as Harvey Bullock and Anthony Stewart Head as Alfred.

Batman: Gotham By Gaslight is expected to hit Digital HD on January 23, 2018.
