A U.S. red band trailer for a live-action Blade of the Immortal…yes, please!

Magnolia Pictures & Magnet Releasing have released a very awesome red band trailer for the film – Blade of the Immortal. Scroll down to see all that awesome.

The film is of course based on the highly popular manga series by Hiroaki Samura of the same name, for those who might be familiar. It also marks the 100th film for director Takashi Miike.

Synopsis: Samurai Manji has taken a lot of lives, both innocent and guilty, and now lives life in feudal Japan as a criminal,” the official description reads. “After being cursed with immortality until he kills enough evil men, Manji meets a young girl who enlists him to be her bodyguard. Swearing loyalty, protection and vengeance against the group of sword fighters who slaughtered her family, the unlikely duo set on a remarkable quest to make right against those who did them wrong…

The film stars Takuya Kimura, Hana Sugisaki, Sōta Fukushi, Hayato Ichihara,Erika Toda,Kazuki Kitamura, Chiaki Kuriyama, Shinnosuke Mitsushima, Ichikawa Ebizō XI, Min Tanaka and Tsutomu Yamazaki.

Blade of the Immortal is expected to hit theaters November 3rd, 2017. The film was already released theatrically in Japan by Warner Bros. Pictures.
