Warner Bros. has released a short that helps set up the world for the forthcoming sequel film – Blade Runner 2049. The short is titled 2036: Nexus Dawn and it came via Collider. Check it out and tell us what you think.

The video shows us Jared Leto’s character Niander Wallace arguing for the need of Replicant technology. He even goes to extremes to prove how perfect his new and improved brand of ‘Nexus 9’ Replicants.

Synopsis: Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

Blade Runner 2049 was directed by Denis Villeneuve from a screenplay written by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green. The film is a sequel to the 1892 ‘neo-noir’ sci-fi film Blade Runner directed by Ridley Scott. The original movie was an adaption of the 1968 novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick.

The film stars Harrison Ford who is reprising his role as Rick Deckard, Ryan Gosling, Ana de Armas, Mackenzie Davis, Sylvia Hoeks, Lennie James, Carla Juri, Robin Wright, Dave Bautista and Jared Leto.
