Light and L meet in this new Death Note clip.

Netflix has released another clip from their forthcoming adaptation of the popular Japanese manga – Death Note. Check it out below.

The clip shows us the first meeting of Light and L. L is suspicious that Light is actually Kira, a serial killer he is hunting for.

Synopsis: Light Turner, a bright student who stumbles across a mystical notebook that has the power to kill any person whose name he writes in it. Light decides to launch a secret crusade to rid the streets of criminals. Soon, the student-turned-vigilante finds himself pursued by a famous detective known only by the alias L.

Death Note is directed by Adam Wingard, with a screenplay by Charles Parlapanides, Vlas Parlapanides, and Jeremy Slater. The film is produced by Roy Lee, Dan Lin, Jason Hoffs and Masi Oka. The film is of course based on the popular Japanese manga of the same name created by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata.

The film stars Nat Wolff, Margaret Qualley, Keith Stanfield, Paul Nakauchi, Shea Whigham, Willem Dafoe, and Masi Oka.

Death Note is scheduled to premiere on Netflix August 25th, 2017.
