Get excited, Netflix has dropped a teaser for Marvel‘s The Punisher. With The Defenders out today, it makes sense. Check it out below.
The series is, of course, a spin-off from the second season of the Netflix series Daredevil and shares a continuity with the films and other television series of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Synopsis: Frank Castle is haunted and hunted after the murder of his family and becomes a vigilante known in the criminal underworld as “the Punisher”, who aims to fight crime by any means necessary.
Of course, Jon Bernthal is reprising the role as The Punisher. The show also stars Ben Barnes, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Amber Rose Revah, Deborah Ann Woll, Daniel Webber, Jason R. Moore, Paul Schulze, Jaime Ray Newman, and Michael Nathanson.
The series is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios, with the series creator Steve Lightfoot serving as showrunner.
Netflix has The Punisher set to premiere sometime later in 2017. No exact release date has been release yet.
