During the NBA Finals, Marvel gave us our first teaser trailer for the upcoming Black Panther film. It gives a breath-taking look at the nation of Wakanda. Check it out down below.

The film is of course based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. He was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and first appeared in the pages of Fantastic Four #52 in July of 1966. Black Panther will be the eighteenth film installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marvel Studios’ Black Panther follows T’Challa who, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. But when a powerful old enemy reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king—and Black Panther—is tested when he is drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.

The film stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker and Andy Serkis. It’s directed by Ryan Coogler who co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Robert Cole.

Black Panther is set to hit theaters February 16th, 2018. How excited are you?
