The Alien: Covenant trailer has arrived!

Hot of the heels of the prologue short film, 20th Century Fox has released the first trailer for Alien: Covenant. Check it out along with a new poster below.

Alien: Covenant is of course Ridley Scott‘s second chapter in a prequel trilogy that started with the film Prometheus. We even get a glimpse of the ship in the trailer.

The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discover what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.

Alien: Covenant stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England, Benjamin Rigby, and James Franco.

The film was written by Jack Paglen and Michael Green based on a story by Ridley Scott. The film is being directed by Luke Scott.

Alien: Covenant will open in theaters on May 19th, 2017.
